Wiltshire bacon of very poor quality showing slime of microbial origin and discolored patches (fig.1). The overall spoilage pattern illustrated is typical for Wiltshire bacon stored at too high temperatures or for excessive periods. The slime formation may or may not be accompanied by off-odors.

Slanina velmi špatné kvality, na níž je vidět sliz mikrobiálního původu a vybledlé skvrny (obr.1). Tyto znaky zkažení jsou typické pro anglickou slaninu, jež je skladována v příliš vysokých teplotách nebo po nepřiměřeně dlouhou dobu. Tvorba slizu může i nemusí být provázena pachem.
