PHYSICAL HAZARD is any extraneous object or foreign matter in a food item which may cause illness or injury to a person consuming the product.

Cellophane and child´s toy plastic cup found in a jar of instant coffee granules are illustrated in the jar (fig.1). The foreign material may have been derived from the home but sabotage at the production stage cannot be discounted. After these subjects were removed for examination (fig.2).

Celofán a dětská plastová hračka byla nalezena ( ve sklenici instantní kávy (obr.1). Cizí předměty se do kávy mohly dostat doma, ale sabotáž ve výrobním procesu nelze vyloučit. Poté byly tyto předměty vyjmuty k rozboru (obr.2).
